Output specified initial value in the first simulation step

Description

The Initial Condition block outputs the initial value in the very first simulation step and the input value at all subsequent steps.

If this block is placed inside an algebraic loop, it provides an initial guess of the value of its output signal to be used by the equation solver at the start of a simulation. See Block Sorting for more information on algebraic loops.

Note

If a simulation is run from a saved simulation state, the Initial Condition block immediately outputs the input value. The Initial value parameter is not used in this case.
