Pulse Generator

Purpose

Generate periodic rectangular pulses

Description

../../_images/pulse_generator.svg

The Pulse Generator outputs a signal that periodically switches between a high- and low-state.

Parameters

High-state output

The value of the output signal in the high-state.

Low-state output

The value of the output signal in the low-state.

Frequency

The frequency of the output signal in hertz \((\mathrm{Hz})\).

Duty cycle

The fraction of the period length during which the output signal is in the high-state. The duty cycle value must be in the range \([0, 1]\). For example, a value of 0.1 means that the signal is in the high-state for the first \(10\,\%\) of the period time.

Phase delay

The phase delay in seconds \((\mathrm{s})\). If the phase delay is 0, the period begins at the start of the high state.

Output data type

The data type of the output signal. See Data Types.

Probe Signals

Output

The output signal of the pulse generator.
