Purpose

Generate periodic triangular or sawtooth waveform

Description

../../_images/triangular_wave.svg

The Triangular Wave Generator produces a signal that periodically changes between a minimum and a maximum value and vice versa in a linear way.

Parameters

Minimum signal value

The minimum value of the signal.

Maximum signal value

The maximum value of the signal.

Frequency

The frequency of the signal in hertz \((\mathrm{Hz})\).

Duty cycle

The ratio of the rising edge to the period length. The value must be in the range \([0, 1]\). A value of 1 produces a sawtooth waveform with a perpendicular falling edge. A value of 0 produces a reverse sawtooth waveform with a perpendicular rising edge. A value of 0.5 produces a symmetrical triangular wave.

Phase delay

The phase delay of the triangular wave in seconds \((\mathrm{s})\). If the phase is set to \(0\), the waveform begins at the rising edge.

Probe Signals

Output

The block output signal.
