Variable Resistor

Purpose

Resistance controlled by a signal

This component provides an ideal resistor whose resistance is controlled by the input signal.

Note

The Variable Resistor creates an algebraic loop. See section Block Sorting for more information on algebraic loops.

The small dot in the component icon marks the positive terminal.

Resistor voltage: The voltage measured across the resistor from the positive to the negative terminal.
Resistor current: The current flowing into the positive terminal.
Resistor power: The power consumed by the resistor.
